1. Introduction

Bracket Frogs LLC (“Bracket Frogs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and tournament management services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide directly: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password. You may optionally provide a phone number for SMS notifications. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. If you upload content (such as pool names), that information is stored as part of the Service. When you communicate with us, we retain those communications.

B. Tournament data: When you create or participate in tournaments, we store tournament settings, draft picks, team assignments, scores, and ownership transfer records.

C. Payment information: Tournament creation fees are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVC. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. Bracket Frogs does not collect or process payments between participants.

D. Automatically collected information: When you access the Service, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, usage data, log data, session activity, and referral URLs. This information helps us maintain security and improve the Service.

E. Cookies and tracking technologies: We use session cookies, authentication cookies, and analytics tools. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Create and manage your account
  • Enable tournament functionality (drafts, scoring, standings)
  • Process tournament creation payments
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, tournament invites, draft notifications)
  • Send SMS notifications with your explicit opt-in (draft alerts, game results, ownership transfers)
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with users
  • Monitor for abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Maintain platform security
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:

  • With other tournament participants: Your display name is visible to other members of tournaments you join. Your email address is not shared with other users.
  • With service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Twilio (SMS delivery, when enabled), and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies and are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • When required by law: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: If Bracket Frogs is acquired, merged, or undergoes a similar business transaction, user information may transfer as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Users may request account deletion at any time.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS). We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies, and secure authentication.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. No system can guarantee absolute security. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session. We may use Google Tag Manager for basic analytics. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function properly. For full details about the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
